SIPCO Mechanical Linkage Solutions is a diversified and innovative company providing standard and custom mechanical solutions to several industrial markets.  Our products are characterized by high integration of the drive components motor and precision gears.  Fields of application are automation technology, crane & hoist, wind turbine, oil field applications, marine propulsion and power generation.

Job summary

Provides raw materials, components and product for plant operations by identifying sources; obtaining samples; placing orders; verifying delivery.

Summary of essential job functions

·         Identifies component, product and raw materials sources by contacting and qualifying suppliers.

·         Obtains component, product and raw materials samples by preparing and placing requests; monitoring, expediting, and verifying delivery; forwarding samples for analysis.

·         Purchases component, product and raw materials by obtaining pricing and delivery schedule; preparing and forwarding purchase order for approval; issuing purchase orders.

·         Verifies delivery of component, product and raw materials by tracking order fulfillment; expediting delivery; comparing receiving documentation to purchase order; forwarding sample of delivered raw materials to lab for certification.

·         Keeps information accessible by sorting and filing documents.

·         Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications.

·         Accomplishes purchasing and organization mission by completing related results as needed.

·         Maintains management updated on progress of supplier development, and market trends that affect material pricing.

Minimum requirements

Supply Management, Tracking Budget Expenses, Vendor Relationships, Organization, Customer Service, Documentation Skills, Supply Management, Manufacturing Methods and Procedures, Reporting Skills, Job Knowledge, Control Engineering. Good presentation and communication skills are required, as is good working knowledge of Microsoft office 2003 & 2007 as well as working knowledge of ERP systems.  Background working in an ISO quality system.  High School Diploma/Equivalent. 5+ years experience working as a Lead Buyer/Purchaser.

Abilities required

Working conditions are a normal office environment.
